1968 Establishment of Farplas as a spare parts sales company
 
Farplas, as in its full commercial name- Farplas Vehicle Spare-Parts Production, Importation and Exportation Joint Stock Company- was founded in 1968 as a spare-parts sales company.
 

1974 Establishment of first production unit
 
The following six years had functioned as a regional spare-parts after market company and during that era, performed an outstanding success in the field that led to the establishment of first production unit in 1974.
 

1984 Professional management in charge
 
In 1984, with the impact of economical liberalization process taking part in Turkey's economical agenda, Farplas had put into charge professional management in order to suit with the changed medium.
 

1991 Establishment of Avcilar plant and facilities
 
In 1991, establishment of Avcilar plant and facilities had proven the accuracy of timing of the change in the management type of Farplas. With the establishment of Avcilar Plant, Farplas began to sustain rising volumes of production and wider scale of products and system supplies as a result of previous technical and technological know-how of 17 years of experience since the first production was set.
 

1997 Establishment of Gebze plant and facilities
 
Followed by the Avcilar plant, according to the rise in volume of conducted business relationships with domestic & international companies, establishment of Gebze plant and facilities at GOSB took place in 1997.
 

1998 Establishment of Cerkezkoy plant and facilities
 
The following year, in 1998 a group company-Farel- its first plant and facilities was founded in Cerkezkoy.
 
2003 Establishment of FARHYM and Starting the production of Complete-Bus Interior Systems
 
FARHYM was established at the beginning of 2003 as a joint - venture between the leading Turkish automotive system supplier, FARPLAS and well - recognized, aluminum engineering expert HYMER LEICHTMETALLBAU of Germany, to design and manufacture bus interior elements. The headquarters of the company has been located in Ankara, capital of Turkey, in close proximity to Esenboga International Airport and MAN factory. The Company has a production branch in the Supplier Park inside TEMSA Factory at Adana
 
2004 Establishment of the new facility, TOSB 1 dedicated to passenger vehicles
 
The construction of the new TOSB 1 plant, established in TOSB industrial zone, was started in June, 2008. The TOSB1 facility, focusing on the production of interior trims and diverse plastic parts in passenger-vehicles segment was completed at end of the year 2004. While the facility has a high level of automation in manufacturing of the plastic components, it also ensures new opportunities for the Turkish Automotive Industry and our Global System Partners together with its machine park which has the capacity ranging from 70 to 2700 tonage at the same time
 
2005 Moving the Adminstrative Units from Gebze Plant to the new facility, TOSB1
 
The Admintrative Units of Farplas was moved to the new manufacturing plant in the year of 2005. The new TOSB1 plant, in addition to its ability to present a competent capacity and high technology, furnishes the best convenience to its customers and employees. While TOSB 1 Administrial Building has modern work-offices, conference-meeting halls and meal saloons, there has also been a fitness center and exhbition hall in the building
 
2005 Establishment of FARDIZAYN, the design company of the Farplas Group, located in Technopark-Gebze
 
The Farplas Group, one of the first companies to recognize the need for advance design&development capabilities to gain competitive advantage in their respective industries and identify the growing trend towards the outsourcing of development services to external partners, established Fardizayn, one of the best design companies in the Turkish Automotive Sector. As a design firm, Fardizayn is able to offer to its clients a wide range of services ranging from renting an engineer on an hourly basis to total concept and product development; from project management to manufaturing the product. The company has currently 30 engineers and operates in Gebze Teknopark, which is in the heart of the Turkish Automotive Industry
 
2005 A New Partnership: Mahle-Farplas Filter Systems Corp. In addition, opening a trade office in Iran
 
Together with Mahle Gmbh, a world leader in the production and development of valves, pistons, filters and engine components, Farplas A.S. founded Mahle Farplas Filtre Sistemleri A.S. by a Joint Venture Agreement. With this new Joint Venture, the Farplas Group attained the capability to present a wide range of products such as air-oil filters, modules and systems to leading OEM companies of the automotive industry
 
2006 Farplas Group took over ÖNCÜ Sanayi, an outstanding firm of the sector
 
Fartplas Goup took over Öncü Tüketim Mallari Sanayi A.S. producing various PUR systems (Semi-Rigid, Hard-system, RIM) with every kind of cockpit and cockpit accessories (Dashboard and accessories), interior and exterior trims from ABS,PS, front grills and various extrusion lamination products. Thus with this take-over, Farplas Group has further developed its interior trim systems network which had first started with Farhym, gaining the capability to serve its customers through the whole design and production processes of systems from the roof to floor, including lightings, glowboxes and accessories
 
2007 Setting up a new JV in India with Pinnacle Industries Ltd., and footprint in Egypt
 
The Farplas Group set up a new JV in India with Pinnacle Industries, the biggest Commercial Vehicle and Bus Seating Company in the country. The voint venture of Pinnacle and Farplas heralded a major wave of change in the area of automotive and bus interiors. It was planned that both facilities in India and Turkey would be used for design validation, testing and analysis. The first facility in India would be opened in Indore in the year 2008 and also the second one would be established in Uttaranchal. Henceforth, the Farplas Group is globalised and becomes an important candidate for global automotive projects. The Farplas Group, in the yeaar of 2007, also began to do a detailed-market research for investment in Egypt and is now waiting for the right time for the investment.
 
GEBZE PLANT
Production lines exclusively for Automotive parts including a wide variety of products, from interior / exterior lighting systems, ceiling equipments, luggage rack systems and modular air duct components, service sets, seat parts, wheel covers, fans, accessories to plastic trim parts for interior coating, front dashboard, trunk coating and external purposes.
Headquarters function within the plant, composed of board of directors, management, finance and quality. R&D department in cooperation with the main OEM customers' R&D offices, creates designs that corresponds to technical and visional necessities of today.
 
AVCILAR PLANT
This plant is dedicated to Commercial Vehicle division's production and accommodates exclusive assembly lines for Automotive equipment, equipped with a paint shop, a tool shop and a warehouse, mainly involved in vacuum metalizing.
 
CERKEZKOY PLANT
Farel, a Farplas group company in operation with its Cerkezkoy Plant, provides exclusive production lines for Household Appliances, equipped with "just-in-time" integrated production, robotic & PLC assembly lines , gas injection, printing lines, painting shop for plastic and sheet metal parts.
 
TOSB 1 PLANT
The TOSB1 facility, focusing on the production of interior trims and diverse plastic parts in passenger-vehicles segment was completed at end of the year 2004. TOSB 2 PLANT
The Farplas Group established TOSB 2 plant, dedicated to both passenger and commercial vehicles for the manufacturing of the widening range of products. The plant also serves for the manucturing of air-filter sytems and the other automotive components on behalf of the Joint-Venture, Mahle-Farplas Filter Systems Corp. In addition to its ability in manufacturing to present a competent capacity and high technology, the plant furnishes the best convenience to its customers and employees.
